Quality Management System GIBB Africa Ltd is committed to providing quality service to all Clients. Our corporate objective is to ensure that the quality of our project delivery is unsurpassed in accuracy, reliability, timely execution and cost effectiveness. To this end GIBB Africa Ltd has developed a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS).
GIBB Africa Ltd Quality Management System covers all activities and functions related to the successful delivery of projects.
GIBB Africa Ltd Quality Management System sets out the general quality polices, procedures and practices for all design and design related activities. The duties, responsibilities and authorities of principal staff in relation to quality assurance are also defined.

- Quality assurance organisation;
- Required content of project quality plans;
- Technical checks and reviews;
- Quality assurance audits;
- Corrective action;
- Design standards, planning and criteria;
- Records;
- Contract documentation and administration;
- Works manufacture and fabrication procedures;
- Site supervision;
- General administration;
- Training;
- Information systems.
For each project, a Quality Plan is prepared setting out the specific quality practices, resources and activities relevant to the project. The Quality Management System of GIBB Africa Ltd was approved and certified to the International Standard ISO 9001:1994 in 1997 by Lloyd’s. GIBB Africa Ltd was the first engineering consultancy in Kenya, and according to the Lloyd’s Register of Quality Assurances, the first in Africa to achieve the approval and certification. Subsequently the company was audited by SGS who have assessed and certified that the GIBB Quality Management System complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 Standard.
